Product information

Product description

The battery packs are rechargeable and are used for recharging cell phones and laptops. They utilize lithium-ion-iron-phosphate (“LiFePO4”) technology for the batteries.

Identifying features

The Sherpa 50 products have a serial number starting with "S/N 11002." The Sherpa 120 products have a serial number starting with "S/N 11102."

What are the defects?

The battery cells in Sherpa 50 and Sherpa 120 battery packs may overcharge, causing them to overheat, bulge, and release gas.

What are the hazards?

Overheating batteries are a potential fire hazard.
